Perfect — Multipass Verified
I'm David Stemper — a photographer obsessed with the threshold moments: the last light over a mountain ridge, the first stars appearing at dusk, the way a foreign city feels at 3am when everyone else is asleep.
My work spans astrophotography — hunting Milky Way arcs and galaxy clusters from remote dark-sky sites — to travel photography across continents, and the quiet documentation of everyday light that most people walk past.
This site is my record. A place to share the images, the thinking behind them, and the stories that don't fit in a caption.

Element 01 / Fire
Astrophotography
Deep sky objects, Milky Way panoramas, and night landscapes from remote dark-sky sites around the world. Long exposures reveal what the naked eye can barely perceive.
Element 02 / Wind
Travel
Forty-something countries and counting. The work is about presence — being in a place long enough that something honest emerges through the lens.
Element 03 / Water
Photography
Light is the subject, always. Whether it's golden hour over a landscape or a single shaft of window light in a dark room, I'm always tracking where it falls.
Element 04 / Earth
Websites
Software and sites built from the ground up — SaaS platforms, tools, and themed experiences. The same eye for composition, applied to interfaces people actually use.

New images. New stories.
When they happen.
No noise. Just occasional dispatches when something worth sharing comes through the lens.
